One Year

How much can change in one year?
For my family - Everything!

Last year at this time we were sitting in our car probably in the middle of Kansas somewhere, two kids stuffed (literally) in the back seat, a few boxes in the back and a hope that what we were doing was the right thing.
We have learned so much this past year and it started with that drive..

Lesson 1: Driving through Kansas is soooo boring

Lesson 2: Driving across the country while pregnant is time consuming (many many many potty breaks)

Lesson 3: Give change a Chance

Lesson 4: Kids will grow wherever they are planted

Lesson 5: Make sure you always have lots of Gas in your car for the short trips that end up taking you across state lines.

Lesson 6: Sometimes you need to let go, trust others and believe.

Lesson 7: Together we can make it through ANYTHING.

We are beyond happy with where we are today and the blessings we have had, I know our future holds great things. We are looking into buying a house and some land and as far as having more kids goes we are still in the discusson phase. Well not really, I discuss and Dan placates me..check back in 5 years and see where this discussion leads us!!! :)

Thirty

Well it's gonna happen and I'm FREAKIN out about it, just a few more months and it shouldn't bother me this much but it does. In 6 short months I will turn 30...OMG
I am so not ready for this and I don't know why, it's not like anything major is going to change in me. I'm not gonna have this huge shrink spurt although if I woke up on my birthday weighing 120 pounds I wouldn't complain...
But seriously what is the big deal so I won't be in my 20's anymore but for some reason every time I think about it my heart just sinks and my stomach hurts..I seriously need some help.
I think being in your 20's means still being a kid in some ways, Yes you are an adult but you are referred to as being young and in some ways innoncent (yes, I consider myself innocent..quit laughing).
I know so many people over 30 with the exception of my mother-in-law but they are all totally fine with it, not that there is really much of a choice I mean you either except or you don't it's gonna happen.
So why does the thought of turning 30 make me want to cry...if anyone has an explanation for this I am all ears...unless I course I loose my hearing by that point cause I hear after thirty everything goes downhill..
What did you say? Speak up I can't see you!!!

Oh and expect more of this because it will only get worse as my Birthday gets closer!!!

Work to be done!!!

Okay so I have a room in my house well I guess you can't really call it a room because it doesn't have a door or a window, although I have considered putting in a window but I don't know what my neighboor would think...hmmmm
Anyway it has the washer, dryer and 4 shelves but I also use it as a pantry and an office so I suppose it would be a Laupanfice or and O'Pandry I dunno...
But the whole point is the laupanfice is driving me nuts because it is so disorganized at the moment come to think of it my closet is bugging me too...

Well maybe I could move the stuff in my closet to the laupanfice and the stuff in the laupanfice into the closet...I wonder if anybody would mind if I put in some new water pipes and electical and dryer vents in the house....gosh that seems like a lot of work....
I wonder if that would be covered under normal wear and tear...or better yet I wonder if maintence would come do it????

Oh no I got...I'm gonna call my Mother-in-law!!!!

Blah Blah Blah

Sooo you wanna hear about all the super exciting things that have been going on in our lives??? Hopefully you can handle all the craziness..

Well Hannah left for Utah back in June and she is just loving it spending time with Gammy, spending Gammy's money, she got her ears pierced for the 3rd time..movies, toys, clothes, swimming...why wasn't I invited?
Charlie turned 3 and is a bigger beast then ever, not listening, hitting, throwing, pinching, biting, temper tantrums, screaming..why didn't he get invited to Utah? But I love him more then anything he is MY boy!!!!
Grace is getting big she is 6 months now and she is rolling all over the place I set her down and if your not careful she will disapear....Oh and I know I shouldn't be excited about this but she is my first thumb sucker and I think it is the cutest thing...Hannah didn't want anything, Charlie has his nookies and Grace is the thumb baby I love it.

Dan got a new job working for Securitas and he is really enjoying it and I am working for Hallmark and I really like it...

So uh yeah that's our super crazy exciting life....phew take a few deep breaths to calm yourself....

Peace!!!! hahahaha

Yard Selling!!!

The blog you are about to read is true it is based on actual events the names and images have been kept the same to ensure embarrassment.

Yard Sales the final frontier these are the adventures of Annette and Amy to explore strangers belongings and seek out new furniture and new picture frames to boldly go where all sales are final!

So a few weekends ago I spent the day yard sale hopping with Annette and Amy and can I just say that when you put these two ladies together and send them out you are in for some serious laughs.

The day started out simple enough it wasn't until Annette started to hear voices that things got interesting.
Now I say voices but I just mean one voice and it happened when we were parked Annette was standing outside the car by herself, myself and Amy were in the car chatting when Annette jumped back in the car quickly and said "Someone just asked me if I was ready" and what would a normal person's response be? No. Who are you? Go away? But what was Annette's response........"Okay but can I finish yard selling first" mind you she still didn't know where the voice came from only that it was loud (like over a speaker) and came from above!!!
Holy Crap a spiritual moment can you believe it the good lord was asking if she was ready. So what does she do...Gets back in the car cause if she's going she ain't going alone...Uhhh so not cool I am sooo not ready...
So I bet your wondering why in the world would God use a loud speaker well there is only one possible reason...He wasn't asking Annette if she was ready he wanted to know when the BMX races were going to start....Oh by the way there is a bike track right by where we were parked...HaHaHaHaHa

What could possibly top an almost encounter with God well pretending Annette was a smashed bug on the window is a good start..

Can you imagine what the other drivers thought but at least the back door was shut...this time!!

Really what more could we possibly do to Annette well...Picture Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies you know rocking chair tied down to the roof of the car...
Okay lets change that up a bit....

All we kept thinking was we hope the rope holds...can you imagine seeing a lady and a recliner going down the road...new form of transportation think of how much you would save on fuel....

We were laughing so hard we were crying it was truly a lot of fun...I only wish I would have thought to bring my camera...to capture all that was missed:

Amy slamming on the brakes to avoid almost missing a sale...I am thankful for soft headrests and I have two words for you Miss A...U-Turn!!! :)

Jumping out of the car to beat someone else to the items they wanted...don't mind the oncoming traffic or innocent bystanders they will recover...

and my favorite....Annette and Amy made a deal with someone on some chairs...They paid for them and the lady started questioning how much she just sold them for...so what does A and Annette do...Take them and run before the lady changes her mind!!!

So fun and on a final note...This is for you A:

Wun...Tu...Thee

To the person who taught my son to count..

One day I will thank you for you have done me a great service but today is not that day.

Today his knowing how to count is so not cool although it is funny please allow me to explain.

While I was working so hard on my finals ;) I noticed Charlie attempting to scale the T.V. Now my biggest threat to a 2 year old is don't make me count three honestly what kind of threat is that? What happens after 3.....don't make me count to six...oh for hell sake it's easier to just go get him down.

Me: Charlie get down

Charlie: Kachow..Kachow...Kachow

Me: Charlie get off the T.V.

Charlie: Mama blow a tire

Me: Charleston get off the T.V. "Don't make me count to Three"

Charlie: Mama tire all fixed

Me: ONE

Charlie: Wun

Me: (Trying not to laugh)

Charlie: TU...THEE

Me: Serious

Charlie: Kachow Kachow

So I don't thank you today for whoever taught him how to count because I can't get mad at that and Charlie knows that because "He's advanced for his age"!!!

Now if you don't mind I must go....

Charlie get off the Fridge...

ONE...

To Hillbilly or not to Hillbilly...that is the question!!!

I hate Arkansas, I hate Arkansas I have most certainly made my opinon known on this state it would have been less obvious if I had tattooed it on my forehead.

Just to ensure I offend no one it is not the state I disliked or the people it was the lack of certain people...in lamens terms I missed my Mommy!!

But I digress...

As time goes on I am starting to think there might be something in the water, No were not pregnant again, rather I am starting to enjoy it here everyone is always so dang happy and I don't think it's because everyone is faithfully taking their prozac.

But what could it be.....

Well golly gee I'm starting to think that my inner hillbilly is coming out ya'll and it's not a bad thing cause I'm fitting in and makin friends..

Things I like about becoming Hillbillyish...
I love me some dirt roads
I don't mind the squirrels living upstairs
No matter how hard up we get there is always an abandoned trailer within 10 minutes either direction.
And a tractor has many uses other then moving dirt..like snow plow, carpool...

Now I'm not saying everyone in Arkansas is a Hillbilly in fact I never met one well except for my dad(whole other blog) but to be honest we just say it as a joke because, well, because we can...there are some truly amazing people here that we have been blessed to know.

We'll we feel blessed to know them anyway I can't say that they feel the same way about us...we tend to get a bit obnoxious all I can say to those people is HaHaHaHaHa we ain't leaving Ya'll!!!

That's all for now but ya'll come back now ya hear!!!

Tools and Love

My husband loves me this I know but not because of the normal reasons like attraction, soul mates and all that other gooey stuff. No, I know my husband loves because of the tools he buys...now I know what your thinking What the heck does tools have to do with love? I shall explain.

Most men pride themselves on the kinds of tools they have they sit together and grunt and scratch while they discuss who has the better tools.

Well picture this: My hubby bragging about his awesome "pretty purple" tools, that's right I said purple. What would provoke my husband to buy purple tools?
I did of course because I thought they were pretty so as he was mumbling down the tool isle putting away his fancy tools I just simply smiled and followed with the purple ones!!

So while he may not brag about his tools or even leave the house with them for fear of the neighboors seeing his "manly tools" I rest easy knowing everytime he hangs a picture or ditches them in the bushes he is thinking of me!!!

On a side note my Father in Law has the coolest tools - He has a cordless hammer, no really ask him!!!

Collections....

Okay so before we moved down here we gave a lot of our furniture away and put the rest in storage, we only moved down here with what we could fit in our car!
A few months ago due to some unfortunate circumstances we lost everything but that is okay because it is just material possessions.

So we have very little furniture now if I were in Utah there is one place I would have gone to rememdy this sadly Arkansas doesn't have a site like KSL (I spent way to many hours searching for one) but I did find Craigslist it doesn't even compare to KSL but will have to work (I know it's been around for a long time but I just found it).
So now I am on a mission to build up our household again and started with beds, I was mocked for my bed collection but even during all that mocking Dan, his Dad, the boys, Amy and Annette still drove all over northwest Arkansas picking up all the beds I found, Hannah is currently sleeping on two mattresses and one box spring. Hey I didn't say I found all the pieces to a bed, one day she will get a frame until then I will contine stacking mattresses.

But no longer I say because now I mock my husband for he has started a T.V. collection, you may say 3 is not a lot but when one of them is so big it can only be moved by dolly and sitting in the middle of my living room I say it's a lot....the others well one we use and the other is under a table!

Maybe for my next collection I will go for chairs then when we have family visit I won't have to offer up the dryer as a seat.

These are the days of our lives...

Guess what? Guess What? Since we have decided to stay in Arkansas I have been activly working on convincing my mom to move here as well and I may have finally succeded but that's all I'm gonna say about that cause I don't wanna jinx it.

Not a whole lot has happened recently Dan started his new job at Tyson he has better hours and is acutally enjoying it. Hannah is doing really well in school and is trying to decide what kind of after school activity she wants to do. I am trying to convince her to go for dance but I think she is leaning more towards girl scouts..oh well. Charlie is still a beast monkey but he is talking so much now it is so cute the only thing he won't say is his name, not sure why!
My little Gracers is getting so big she is 3 months now and just found her fist which must be the tastiest thing ever and she giggles a lot.
I love being a mommy it is the biggest blessing what I did to deserve them I will never know but I am beyond thankful.

As for me I am suppose to be done with my Associates by the end of June but not sure if that will happen I am kinda burned out but it has also occured to me that my degree is worthless. I will never use it and it doesn't have anything to do with my end goal which is nursing! On the brighter side I am an offical student at NWACC and just need to decide if I want to register for the summer or fall semester, I'm leaning more towards the fall, I am very much looking forward to becoming a CNA!
I'm still belly dancing and truly enjoy it the ladies is the class are so fun and the teacher is hilarious and very talented. It has made me want to loose weight so I can maybe one day perform in front of people!

So blah blah blah blah that's my non-interesting life!
:)

Decisions...Decisions....I finally made one!

I have been going to school online for almost 2 years and have truly enjoyed it but it occured to me recently that I am not doing what I would like to be doing, which is nursing. After some researching and some serious headaches I have decided that when I finish with my Associates this summer I will leave the University and work towards my nursing degree instead of continuing on with my Bachelors.
I found that the community college offers a CNA and PCA + program which would allow me to work in hospitals and such, during my schooling I would get experience in a nursing home and an area hospital.
I am beyond excited I have wanted to go into nursing for so long and this is the beginning eventually I would like to become an RN but that is a few years down the road.
If everything goes the way I would like it to I will get into the summer program but that is all dependent on how quickly the class fills there are only 10 spaces left otherwise I will be in the fall...which is cool too!!!
I am so excited....yeahhhh...things seem to be falling into place...finally!!!

Gracelynn

First off let me say we are not obssessed with Elvis or Graceland in fact I do not even like Elvis...So No we did not name our daughter after him we just liked the name.

With that said...

Our third little blessing Gracelynn Dorianne Ruth Edeltraud Hutt was born on January 6, 2010 she is absolutly beautiful. With the possibility that Grace is our last we decided we wanted her name to have some meaning. Dorianne is a blend of my mom and Dan's mom..Doris and Annette, Ruth is Dan's grandma and Edeltraud is my grandma....
So not only is she perfect in everyway she is named after 4 amazing women and she will be blessed to grow up and be like them!!!

To move or Not to move....

Okay so back in September we decided to move to Arkansas in the hopes that things would get better for us, a new start and I was excited because I always wanted to get away from Utah. I learned a few things fairly quickly first off moving sucks even more so when its across state lines and secondly attempting to turn a 3 to 4 day drive into a 2 day drive with 2 kids is soooo not fun!
But we made it and thanks to my amazing in-laws and sis-in-law we had an apartment all set up for us when we got here. In the spontaneous decision to move we also decided to come down with only what we could fit in the car (stupid idea) so our household was put into storage. We had hoped finding a job would be a simple task but it wasn't so we were highly dependant on family then I started missing my mom and grandma. So now we have a very emotional pregnant woman who has never moved away from family living across the country...suffice it to say I wasn't the happiest person and moving back was all I could think about I do not think I had cried so much in my life.
I was struggling to find reasons to stay nothing had changed we were not doing any better and then to make matters worse we ended up loosing everything we owned, so now we have to literally start from scratch, the deicsion was made we would move back to Utah in June.
So what has changed? Dan has a good job with a good company, Hannah is doing amazingly well in school (love the schools Utah should take some notes), we found a doctor that actually knows what she is doing and it is actually a very nice place to live. I still miss my mom and grandma more then anything but I am starting to think maybe we should stay.
I wish I could know for certain what is the right thing to do for my family, Dan is willing to go along with what I decide but I know he really likes it here so the decision falls to me...Do we stay or do we go?

I'm Blogging

So I have decided to start blogging...I couldn't see the point before because I had nothing to say but now so much has been going on and so many things have changed that I think the only logical thing to do is to whine about it to all of you!!!
Enjoy!
